The Twin-Versus

I read an proverb from my book on buhddist teachings and this particular one confused me: As rain breaks through an ill-thatched house, passion will break through an unreflecting mind.
So im thinking, wait but passion is the fruit of dreams, the seed of knowledge.... so i read on to another proverb: Forests are delightful; where the world finds no delight, there the passionless will find delight, for they look not for pleasures.
What this means is in having "passion" not the passion of dreams or seed of knowledge but the pleasure and want of material things.
